Best Places to Visit in Chattanooga, Tennessee

You can also visit the Tennessee Aquarium. All of these places are great for family outings, so make sure to make time to explore all of them!

Lookout Mountain

If you want to see some great views of the city, Lookout Mountain is the place for you. This mountain is home to a railroad that travels up and down the mountain at a 72.7% grade. While you’re up there, check out the upper station with its deli and gift shop. The lower station has an observation deck and a large collection of machinery, including a 100-horsepower winch.

You can also visit the Rock City Gardens, which are located on Lookout Mountain, which sits on the border of Georgia and Tennessee. This place offers panoramic views and ancient rock formations. You can purchase timed-entry tickets to see these sights. The tour takes about an hour and a half.
